Method of adding or deleting Gmail category on Computer

Accessing Gmail on computer system is quite easy. Few clicks and taps give better experience in accessing messages. Below is the process of adding or deleting inbox categories in Gmail.
Step 1: Pick your inbox style
a. First open your Gmail account.
b. Go to Settings gear icon available at the top right.
c. Now click on Inbox tab.
d. In the Inbox Type section, choose default, unread first, starred first, important first or priority inbox.
e. Also you can set other settings like whether to see important markers or how to filter mails.
Step 2: Steps for adding or removing categories
If you are unable to see inbox tabs then follow the below directions for turning on categories.
a. Login to Gmail account.
b. At the top right, go to settings then Configure mailbox.
c. Mark the boxes of the inbox categories you want to use. The messages will appear in your Primary section if you have hidden the tab.
d. Now click Save.
You can utilize other category labels for searching and filtering mails: All messages are labeled automatically even if you don't direct the categories to mailbox for the first 5 categories.
How to check number of mails in inbox:
Follow the steps to view how many messages are there in your mailbox-
a. Sign in to your Gmail account on your computer system. You won't be able to find total number of messages from Gmail app.
b. Click Settings gear available at the top right.
c. Go to Conversation view by scrolling down the page.
d. Now choose the Conversation view off option.
e. Now click on save Changes option available at the bottom of the page.
f. Now check number of messages in your inbox. Ensure that you added the number from each section in case if you have different sections or categories.
g. Once you are done, turn on the Conversation view from Settings.
